The Saint-Gobain Open Innovation Program 

Fostering corporate-startup collaborations to co-create new products and explore new markets. With a strong focus on sustainability and product innovation, our goal is to make the world a better home.

Program Experience 

Selected startups collaborate with Saint-Gobain researchers to develop innovative solutions for identified challenges and new opportunities. Over 3-6 months, startup teams ideate, develop, test, and showcase pilot projects, always considering innovation and IP strategy, resulting in unique, scalable innovations.

Explore Cohort 3 Problem Statements (Apply Now!)

1. 🌍 Design and implement innovative solutions for the aggregation/mapping of glass cullet, including identifying reliable sources and building an efficient sourcing network
2. 🔒 Anti-counterfeit technologies for industries like packaging and FMCG, adaptable for use in Gyproc framing products
3. ♻️ Innovative methods to repurpose plant waste and recycle industrial waste specific to the Jhagadia and Bangalore regions effectively
4. 🚚 Leverage technology or partnerships to improve distribution and reach of Industrial products in Tier 2, 3, and 4 towns.
5. 🧪 New materials or technologies to create coatings and thermoplastic sealings for electrolysers operating under high pressure and temperature in alternative energy generation (ex: Hydrogen, Ammonia, methane)
6. 🔄 Develop efficient recycling processes for used plaster blocks to increase their value and reduce environmental impact

Application deadline: Dec 30th

Post application closure:

1. Qualified startups will be chosen to present their solution over a 1-hr demo/ discussion session.
2. Startups not selected will be notified over email by 2nd week of January '25.
3. Final selection of startups will be done in the last week of January ‘25.
4. The co-creation phase will happen from Jan '25 to May '25
